장수정은 자존감을 주제로 일러스트레이션, 페인팅, 그림책 작업을 하고있다. 나를 위로해주는 것들을 그리며, 내 그림들이 누군가에게도 위로가 되길 바라는 마음으로 살고있다. 마음에 파장이 일었던 순간을 기록하여 페인팅으로 풀어내고, 이야기를 지어 그림책을 만든다. 사람들 사이에 무의식적으로 오가는 따뜻함이 실은 매우 크고 중요한 가치에서 비롯되는 것이며, 누군가에게는 자연스러운 것이 아니라 학습하고 새롭게 경험해야만 알 수 있는 것임을 조명한다. 사람의 가치를 낯설고 의식적으로 바라보는 방법을 통해 사람이 가지는 특별한 의미를 되새기고, 여기서 생성되는 마음의 파장이 전달되기를 바란다.
