Artist Statement
Yellow Bird

Through my paintings, I explore human value, existence, and the experience of being seen as one truly is. My works range from figurative to abstract, yet a yellow bird appears throughout them.

The yellow bird is my visual language—an invisible yet real presence that does not judge people by ability or circumstance, but sees, protects, and supports them as they are.

I did not paint the yellow bird from the beginning. After experiencing a sense of freedom and lightness, I found myself repeatedly drawing birds. Since childhood, birds had symbolised freedom for me, and yellow became the colour that best expressed warmth and light.

By placing the yellow bird within landscapes and everyday scenes, I aim to reveal forms of love, dignity, and protection that cannot be seen but still exist alongside us. My work is an attempt to leave traces of the invisible world we often overlook.
